Nolands Careers

When Nolands started in 1976, the audit profession was a closed shop. As an unknown start up, it was as difficult to attract clients as was to persuade staff to join them. But some did, people who saw in Nolands an irrepressible optimism and a spark of purpose. Nolands is now 45 years old, but its passion for working with the best talent remains.

Those possibilities could be threats or opportunities and once identified, they're able to act as a connector of a range of experience, skills and know-how to develop plans and implement them quickly. Nolands Advisory works across a range of core skill sets within the company and have grown into the three main sub-companies of Nolands Capital, Forensics and Legal.

Nolands Capital

As a corporate finance house, Nolands Capital specialises in helping clients and their business achieve their long term goals across short, medium and long-term horizons. There are three areas of specialisation: mergers and acquisitions, transaction services, and management consulting. On both buy and sell side transactions, clients are fully supported, end to end. The team also works closely with clients to raise capital (debt or equity) to fuel their growth.

Nolands Tax

Per Nolands' mandate, "It's all about being on the front foot, all the time." Nolands Tax division serves to maximise the time available for planning, both in the broad terms and in the detail. Their services range from advanced opinions of tax strategies, audit support, dispute resolution and transfer pricing to family matters such as estate planning.

Nolands' SAICA Trainees may have the opportunity to the rotate through the advisory wing of the firm. This will give trainees exposure to areas such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate taxes, business and asset valuations and many other exciting areas. This will allow trainees  to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations and learning opportunities outside of audit.

Nolands Forensics

Nolands Forensics is tasked with asking the important question of what happened. There are three main aspects of what they do. The first being internal audit/review, where the mandate would be to identify any systemic fault, fraud or wrong doing and provide a detailed report. The second being forensic investigation, this is where a risk has been identified and requires substantiation ahead of possible legal action. The last being risk management and evaluation, which is an ongoing service that forms part of a client's risk management strategy.

Nolands Legal

Law and the world of business intersect at every level. From the basic requirements of a company to the most complex of transactions, disputes and contractual agreements. Nolands' lawyers work to close the gap between business advisors and legal counsel, which results in a more cost effective and faster solution.
